Lou began his career in health and fitness straight out of college. He had learned personally the power of strength training for transforming his body, increasing energy levels, preventing muscle/bone loss and improving overall health, and felt empowered to share that with others. In his early career, Lou worked primarily with clients in quest of muscle gain, strength and athletic performance. This was the primary focus of his education and also aligned with his personal fitness goals. Sometime around 2006, Lou expanded his client demographic, and began working with people seeking to reap the benefits of mobility and strength training, including those suffering from joint pain, anxiety or depression, as well as those recovering from injury and long term illness.
The Birth of Lift and Live Fitness
Lou had always dreamed of having his own gym where he could create the environment where clients felt comfortable, appreciated, and truly enjoyed training.
In 2012, that dream became a reality. H Lou co-founded Lift and Live Fitness. Now, fifteen years, 19,000+ client hours and counting after becoming a professional trainer, Lou co-operates Lift and Live Fitness with his wife, Larah, works with a wide variety of people – from the D1 athlete pursuing elite strength and performance to kids and adults alike pursuing overall healthy and wellness – sharing his passion, and teaching proper form and positioning, training balanced strength and conditioning, all while preventing injury.
Lou learned very early on that, if he truly wanted to give clients the personal training and guidance to reach their goals and thrive in their lives, he needed to open his own facility with the kind of workout programs his clients needed. So that became the dream: to provide the type of atmosphere that cultivates success and true change in a person with supportive gym trainers. After years and years of preparation, the timing was right to pursue his dream, and he opened L&L Fitness with his wife, Larah.
Lou's time off from training clients and running a successful business is spent trying to be a hero to his two boys, Vinny and Kody and doing anything exciting and active with his family.
