I’ve worked with Lou for over a year. He is professional in all ways and extremely knowledgeable regarding all things fitness and diet. I have been training with Larah at L&L Fitness since November and it has been a truly fulfilling experience. I am not only losing weight, toning-up and becoming stronger; I am becoming more confident in myself. The routine is always different – constantly challenging, working muscles throughout the body, and I am never bored. I have been training with Larah at L & L since November 2013. I needed a little jump start to get myself back in shape, and L&L was it! I am extremely happy with the results I have gotten thus far. Larah is an excellent trainer and motivator and she takes the time to address any issues or questions you may have, including nutrition. The environment is fun and welcoming and I have never felt self-conscious or intimidated. I never wanted to be strong or especially thin. I went to them to be healthy. Thanks to Lift and Live – they helped make this a reality. I also have not done weightlifting since high school so I was very hesitant that this would be a good fit and was pleasantly surprised. The results have been unexpected and much appreciated. L&L is good. I have 3 kids – lifting at L&L has made me sane again.

It’s hard to believe that it’s coming up on 3 years that I’ve been training with L&L, mainly because I wouldn’t have imagined myself doing ANY form of exercise consistently for 3 years. But here I am, not just thinner than I was in my 30’s, but stronger and with more energy. I found L&L from a simple search on Google and wow what a difference 10 weeks training with Larah has made! None of my clothes fit, I’m down 5% body fat, and I feel great. Larah’s diet advice has also been key to this process and I always feel like I have someone to discuss that with and get support from. The vibe in the space is very positive and down to earth while also being serious about health and strength. Great, holistic approach that I highly recommend! * I’ve been attending personal training sessions there 2-3 times a week, initially to jump start my need to get into shape for last month’s MS Ride. That was successful. Now my objective is to reach short term goals pertaining to weight, strength and overall quality of being. At almost 50, I needed help with motivation and this is what I have found here – not to mention camaraderie and laughter. The environment is unique from gym based training and I look forward to my sessions which have always been productive – even if I was lagging.
It’s a husband/wife operated business, not in a gym but rather in a 2 floor suite of a business park. The space is clean. Depending on the hour, you may be the only only one training at the time. No gawking and distractions are limited. Lou and Larah are great people and I consider them more than just trainers but also friends. The attention you receive is one-on-one but there are also classes. Your session moves along quickly. You pick the music. The rates are considerably lower than gym personal training. No long term contract. They provide nutritional advice and will work with you to achieve specific weight management goals.
